What should I take to hospital with me?

Here is a list of things you may wish to consider packing for your time in hospital. Apologies to the men out there, some items may be a bit girly for you!

  • Nightie/PJs
  • Dressing gown (you will be walking up and down the corridors!)
  • Slippers
  • Tri-pillow
  • Blanket (just for a taste of home)
  • Underwear
  • Body wash/puff
  • Shampoo and conditioner
  • Moisturiser/spritzer
  • Hand cream
  • Lip balm
  • Pads (ladies, you can use bulky hospital ones but may prefer your own - situations like this can bring your period on)
  • Magazines or books
  • Laptop
  • Gaming console e.g. Nintendo DS, PSP etc
  • iPod
  • DVDs (for your laptop, or the hospital may have a DVD player available)
  • Colouring book/puzzle book/scrapbooking etc
  • Teddy/soft toy
  • Loose clothing for the trip home
